Calcutta   Bungalow

A restored 1920s townhouse in North Kolkata that captures the spirit of old Calcutta through thoughtful architecture, handcrafted décor, and warm, old-world hospitality, Calcutta Bunglow is tucked away in the historic lanes of Shyambazar. Each room is themed around a traditional neighbourhood trade, celebrating the city’s artisanal past while offering modern comforts. It’s both a quiet sanctuary and a living story, complete with a rooftop café that reimagines the city’s flavours through a Bengali-Continental lens.

Calcutta Bungalow was born out of a simple need: to prove that North Kolkata’s old houses are not relics to be abandoned, but treasures to be restored, lived in, and celebrated.
‘I wanted travellers to experience the city the way I know and love it, not through generic hotels, but through architecture, stories, and neighbourhood life’ says Iftekhar Ahsan, curator of Calcutta Bungalow.
‘It became a living example of what is possible when we choose restoration over demolition, preserving memory, reviving craftsmanship, supporting local communities, and showing the world that Calcutta’s heritage can be both beautiful and economically viable.’

Yellow House Parra

A lifestyle and concept store founded in 2021 in North Goa, YHP is a space that brings together slow fashion, design, and everyday objects - all rooted in craft and storytelling. The idea was to create something that feels like home - warm, tactile, and quietly evolving with time. ‘It houses almost 70+ independent designers, artists and makers from all over India’  shares Saanya, founder of YHP.

Our in-house studio, YHP Atelier, is a space where design becomes dialogue through material, silhouette and story-telling. A quiet collaboration between the maker and wearer.
‘I’ve always been drawn to spaces that tell stories through materials and mood. After years of travelling, styling, and working with artisans, I wanted to build a place that reflects that journey, where design feels honest, where everything is made with care, and where people can slow down and connect with the process behind what they bring into their lives’

TRI Art & Culture

Founded in January 2024, TRI Art & Culture is a multidisciplinary cultural centre housed inside a heritage property located in the heart of Kolkata. The curatorial programme highlights art’s intrinsic value to society by nurturing experimentation while honouring tradition. With democratic arts engagement at its core, TRI acts as a bridge between community and culture, creating a space where diverse artistic expressions, ideas, and audiences meet.

Born from a desire to build an arts institution that cuts across genres, disciplines, and traditional definitions of what an art space can be, the intention from the outset was to create a cultural engine for Kolkata, one capable of holding classical and contemporary, visual and sonic, intimate and public forms of expression with equal conviction. ‘We wanted to fill a gap in the city’s cultural landscape by offering audiences, especially younger visitors, a way to engage with art differently: to touch it, listen to it, feel it, and inhabit it.’
